Before the Calamity

before cream, there was z'ahsa vimba

Cream, born as Z’ahsa Vimba to Nunh of the Ziz Tribe, Z’hmati and his wife, Z'attano Vimba in the year 1559. They were the only survivor of their litter; the rest stillborn.Life carries on as normal; Z’ahsa an optimistic, healthy child albeit smaller than average for their age.
A proud protector, watching over their younger siblings, and an even prouder Seeker, eager to become a hunter; dreaming to become their tribe's leader. A future Nunh in the making.At ten summers, they under-go a rite of passage; their first hunt out in the Sagolii desert, earning their facial tattoos as a result of a successful bounty.In 1572, at thirteen summers, tension begins to arise within the tribe as Dalamud grows in size, the once blue sky now a sea of red. Some insist they should move to safety towards Ul’dah, the threat of a Garlean Assault growing as the war rages on. Z’hmati is stubborn, countering with the idea they are far enough from the front lines they need not worry— and Z'attano was near the end of her third pregnancy, due in a matter of days. Travel would be far too risky.That day never came, for Dalamud fell. The Ziz tribe devastated and wiped out as Bahamut rained fiery hell down on Eorzea.As the meteors crashed from the atmosphere and screams filled the air, the Echo awoke within them.Hydaelyn had chosen her new champion. Nald'thal prayed for their safety. A small blessing shielding the young seeker while the world burned around them.The resulting trauma left Z’ahsa stunned in absolute silence as they sat beside the bodies of family in charred aftermath.Once more the only survivor.

An off shoot of the main Ziz tribe, founded by Z’hmati and Z'attano Vimba. This branch was located in the Sagolii Deserts of Southern Thanalan.Blue eyes are considered a bad omen within the Ziz tribe, who are known for their golden eyes. Tragedy always follows crystalline.This tribe has Moonkeeper blood mixed in, being one of the few Seeker tribes to bare fangs unlike the dull teeth of their fellow Seekers.Majority of the hunters within the tribe specialized in Pugilist and Monk skills.

  • You already KNOW Cream was smoking Pixie Dust out in Il Mheg with the Fae Folk, experiencing colors that only shrimps can see.

  • Cream had the misfortune of eating at least a handful of Meol before the origins were revealed; if asked they're honest about it tasting delicious, much to the horror of others.

  • Learning the Truth of Hydaelyn and Zodiark has left Cream wondering if they're not tempered themselves, despite not having heard from Hydaelyn in a long time.

  • The Light-sickness would cost Cream their vision in one eye, and enlarge their fangs permanently. Had it not been for Ardbert's intervention, they'd have gone entirely blind, along with turning into a horrible abomination that would bring about multiple worlds end.

  • Killing Hades and Elidibus brought Cream no joy, only bittersweet satisfaction.
